Deception of the Heart & Transformation A journey of trust, faith, and real change

When Everything Crashed and Burned

Looking back, I remember a time in my life when everything felt like it was falling apart. I was overwhelmed by the weight of my past decisions, the brokenness I felt inside, and the chaos I had created. But this was the moment I decided: I want to be the person I like and want to be around.

Trail of Faith: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10

Action Step: Reflect on a moment when you knew you needed change. Write down one thing you can do today to take a step toward that transformation.

The Cost of Ignoring Your Inner Knowing

I used my gifts in a deceptive way, and it was manipulative. The crazy thing about living in a way where you defy your inner knowing and the truth of the spirit is that it births mistrust, chaos, insecurity, and loneliness.

Your projection of the world mimics how you see, feel, and experience life.

Trail of Faith: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5

Action Step: Journal about an area of your life where you may be ignoring your inner knowing. What is one way you can realign with truth?

Do People Really Change?

It’s easy to believe people are not capable of real, lasting change. And if you believe that, then you may also believe that you are not capable of true transformation.

To believe in the possibility of change, you have to know it’s possible in others first.

Trail of Faith: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26

Action Step: Identify someone you may have written off as incapable of change. Pray for them and for your own heart to remain open to transformation.

Hidden Truths About Growth and Transformation

  • Transparency is not the same as vulnerability. You can be open without truly allowing yourself to be seen.

  • Authenticity does not inherently mean good quality. Just because something is raw doesn’t mean it’s refined or right.

  • Knowing requires trust. Trust requires belief. Belief requires faith. Faith requires confidence.

  • Change and transformation require all of these, plus the consistent decision to lean into them, especially when doubt creeps in.

Trail of Faith: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Action Step: Choose one of these hidden truths and apply it to your life today. How can you shift your mindset to embrace transformation?

The Choice to Transform

It’s easy to hold ourselves captive to our past, to believe our mistakes define us. But once you step into faith, you can let go of everything you thought you were and become everything you know you are.

Real change requires genuine work and a continued decision to be the person you’re becoming, even when it’s hard.

Trail of Faith: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2

Action Step: What is one habit, thought pattern, or behavior you need to release? Take one intentional step toward renewal today.

Transformation is Always Possible

Keep choosing growth. Keep choosing faith.

Trail of Faith: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” – Philippians 1:6

Final Action Step: Commit to one daily action that aligns with the person you are becoming. Keep a transformation journal and track your growth.
